The Settle Circuit is part of the West Yorkshire District of the Methodist Church (www.westyorkshiremethodist.org.uk).

Synod:

The Autumn Synod was held at Silsden Methodist Church in the Airedale Circuit.  

This was the first Synod to be chaired by Revd. Roger Walton, the new Chair of the West Yorkshire District. 

Synod heard from a number of people who had attended the Methodist Conference, including reports on the Fruitful Fields Project and new ways of collecting Methodist statistics.  Members of synod were encouraged to read 'Contemporary Methodism' - a summary of the General Secretary's report to Conference - or, better still, to read the full report which can be found on the Methodist Church website.

Michael Noble also introduced, and recommended, the Healthy Circuits Handbook as a helpful resource for circuits wishing to consider how well shaped for Mission they are.
