The Settle Circuit is part of the West Yorkshire District of the Methodist Church (www.westyorkshiremethodist.org.uk).

Synod:

5 members of the Circuit attended District Synod on Saturday 8th May.  

At the outset of the meeting, we were told that the District had now been registered as a Fairtrade District.  The Fair Trade Group will continue their work, encouraging the use of fairly traded and locally grown products.

Business items included approval of the nomination of Revd. Roger Walton as Chair of District from September 2011.

The day also included presentations on:

• Back to Church Sunday

• The Inspire Project

• MRDF - water and sanitation work in Uganda
