Welcome to St. John's Methodist Church, Settle

Settle is a small market town lying on the River Ribble, the main centre for Upper Ribblesdale and the "Yorkshire Three Peaks" area.   The weekly market is held on Tuesdays.

The Methodist Church (www.settle-methodists.org.uk) is situated on the main road through the town, with the famous Settle-Carlisle railway passing over a bridge very close by.   It is in the south of the Circuit.

The church has 85 members and is part of Churches Together in Settle and District, regularly taking part in various activities arranged by CTISAD (www.ctisad.org.uk).

Although there are only a few children belonging to church families, the annual Holiday Club run by members (with the help of friends from other churches) is very successful.  We are now running Holiday Clubs for one day during half-term breaks.

The church has regular house groups meeting in members' homes and at church.  There is a Tuesday morning 'Coffee Pot', serving tea/coffee and home-made cakes and scones, which attracts both members and visitors to the town.  A fifteen minute service takes place alongside this.

There is a separate church hall which is widely used by many and varied groups from the local community.
