Welcome to Rathmell Chapel

Rathmell is a small, scattered village off the A65, between Settle and Hellifield. Basically it is a farming community. We have a primary school with an excellent reputation, a Reading Room which hosts many village activities and a Horses Health Farm. The Anglican Church is Holy Trinity.
Our Methodist church is the oldest in the Settle Circuit, having been founded in 1763. For 83 years we had no building of our own, but in 1846 the present chapel was built. It was altered in 1893, enlarged by the addition of a school-room in 1903 and extensively improved in 2007. We now have a kitchen area and a disabled toilet.
Our Wesley Guild meets monthly from November to April, with a variety of interesting speakers. We are also involved with the 'J. C. Club' which meets after school in the Primary School. All but one of our members live in the community and they are involved in many aspects of its life. You are most welcome to worship with us.
